7. Manuscript Structure
The manuscript must follow the section order provided in the DJAMR template.
1. INTRODUCTION
The introduction should explain the context and significance of the research topic. It must identify the practical or theoretical problem, present the research gap using relevant and recent literature, and explain why the study is necessary. The introduction should also clarify the novelty or expected contribution of the study and conclude with the research objective, research question, or hypothesis. Citations must use the author–date system in accordance with APA 7th edition.
2. LITERATURE REVIEW
The literature review must develop the conceptual and empirical foundation of the study. Authors should synthesize previous studies rather than present a separate summary of each source. This section should:
- Define the principal concepts or variables.
- Explain the relevant theories.
- Compare previous empirical findings.
- Identify inconsistencies or limitations in existing studies.
- Explain the relationships among the principal constructs.
- Develop the conceptual framework or hypotheses where applicable.
Priority should be given to credible, recent, peer-reviewed, and directly relevant sources. Hypotheses are included only when appropriate to the research design.
3. RESEARCH METHOD
The research method must provide sufficient information for readers to understand and, where appropriate, replicate the study. This section should explain:
- Research design and approach.
- Research setting or context.
- Population, sample, participants, or informants.
- Sampling procedure.
- Data sources.
- Operational definitions of variables or concepts.
- Measurement instruments.
- Data-collection procedures.
- Validity and reliability procedures where applicable.
- Data-analysis techniques.
- Software used where relevant.
- Ethical considerations where applicable.
For conceptual or literature-based studies, authors must clearly explain the method used to identify, select, evaluate, and synthesize the literature or other source materials.
4. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
The results and discussion must present the findings in a logical order based on the research questions, objectives, or hypotheses. Authors should report relevant evidence without unnecessarily repeating every value already presented in tables or figures. Findings must be interpreted rather than merely described. This section may be divided into:
4.1 Research Results
Present the main analytical findings supported by appropriate statistical results, tables, figures, quotations, themes, or other evidence relevant to the research approach. Results should directly answer the research objectives or research questions.
4.2 Discussion
Explain the meaning and significance of the findings. Compare the results with the theoretical framework and previous empirical studies, explain agreements or differences, and discuss unexpected findings where relevant. The discussion should clarify the study’s contribution to accounting, management, business, policy, professional practice, or related fields. Unsupported claims and repetition of the results section should be avoided.
5. CONCLUSION
The conclusion must directly answer the research objective and summarize the principal contribution of the study without repeating the results section. It should briefly present:
- The main conclusion.
- Theoretical or scholarly contribution.
- Practical, managerial, or policy implications.
- Important research limitations.
- Realistic recommendations for future research or implementation.
New data, findings, tables, figures, or citations that have not been discussed previously should not be introduced in this section.
