Plagiarism
Sandhana International Journal of Multidisciplinary Studies (SIJMS) does not tolerate plagiarism, self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, or the use of another person’s words, data, ideas, or results without proper acknowledgment. All submitted manuscripts are screened using Turnitin before being sent for peer review. Accepted manuscripts may be screened again before final publication when necessary. As an initial screening benchmark, manuscripts are expected to have an overall similarity index of no more than 30%, excluding the bibliography and properly quoted material. However, the similarity score does not independently determine plagiarism. Every similarity report is examined by the editor to assess the sources, context, attribution, and significance of the matching text. If excessive or inappropriate similarity is identified, the manuscript may be:
- Returned to the authors for correction and proper citation;
- Rejected when substantial plagiarism, self-plagiarism, or duplication is confirmed; or
- Investigated further in accordance with publication-ethics procedures.
If plagiarism is discovered after publication, SIJMS may issue a correction, retract the article, or take other appropriate action. Authors are fully responsible for the originality and integrity of their submitted manuscripts.
